Agreed, some of your peeps know how to put a decent head on a cup of coffee (plse pardon the pun)... Lovemore being a firm favourite - he gets the concept of crema.

Actually I use Caturra - have from the start, all of 6 1/2 years now - and before that at Olympia too.

It'd be nice to go with Origin but they're so pricey.

I'm looking at Beanthere - thank you.

In the end it's more about the quality of the barista I think - I've been reinforcing some training and its definitely helping ...

Hmm, coffee's tricky. At this point you've probably already tried the "less than enticing" pe@cock brand… no guesses as to how they extract the liquid from their poor feathered “friends”.

How about caturra – not fab, but drinkable & they’re based in Diep River, me thinks.. Local is lekker, after all. There is always Lavazza – but then those delicious R12 pastries will be a thing of the past, or you’d have to take out a second mortage.

But wait… there’s more - www.beanthere.co.za

Hey i got a live one!

Wow. :-D

Thanks for your feedback.

Clearly you're not in love with our pricing. Regretfully it costs a lot to do what we do.
When last were you in the shop?
There are businesses close to us that are far more expensive for far less. So I'd have to disagree with you regarding the prices.

But hey - it's a free world.

Nice moniker btw - you surf much?
Cheers

The Empire Cafe was a great idea. Pity about the over priced menu and costly food. Who are you trying to feed? Rich yuppies and tourists?
