Fruit Salad.
Fruit salad; a great way to stay healthy and happy in winter. Great colours, great flavours and reasonably priced in these lean times.
The muesli is Empire’s own recipe. I have been making it for about 20 years now (gettin’ oooold).

Exhibition
Hello all.
I am getting together an exhibition of sorts – mostly for fun.
I will show photos from my Bali trip (not many surfing related) and sundry other sunrise/sunset shots that I have taken. The ocean is a strong component in my photography (people are not, with rare exceptions).
The images will be projected on the wall – it’s a fun, economic way of exhibiting.
Should anyone want a print or even a low res image for a desktop wallpaper I will be happy to print one for you, at a good price :D.
As a bonus I will prepare Indonesian influenced food to nibble on. It will be a very tasty but casual affair.
A cash bar should keep things nice and relaxed too..
A date has yet to be decided upon.

Pancakes for breakfast
I am thinking of making filled pancakes for breakfast. I spent 3 weeks in Bali now and every morning it was banana pancakes with honey, sliced fruit and watermelon juice. I miss that breakfast!
Of course Empire would make a range of fillings, not just bananas.
Bolognaise, bacon, rocket and cheese, roast vegetables and gorgonzola or camembert (for breakfast!).
Of course this means pancakes with sweet fillings too……
Please give me some feedback on Facebook, Twitter or on this site. It takes little time to get it on the menu, but I’d like to do it well :).

I enjoy the simple breakfasts more – good colours, clear flavours, reminiscent of home cooking… :).

Trek fishermen and their fish
Took a few fun photos on Monday of trek fishing down near Sunrise beach. Interesting part is there was a chap, whom I’ve met before, throwing back White Steenbras and Leervis. Nice to meet someone who actually gives a damn about the fish populations/planet/environment.
So enjoy the pictures.
